To create your reading we collect what you type into the chat: your first name, the first name of the person you ask about, both dates of birth, how you refer to that person, the situation you select, and your email address. If you purchase, payment is processed by Stripe; your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We also keep standard technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
Your details are used to compute the astrological charts, to generate and deliver your reading, to send you your order link and order related messages, and, where you have not completed a purchase, to send one reminder about the reading you started. With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, we may send you Margo's letters and offers by email; every such email contains a working unsubscribe link and your choice is honored promptly.
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it: Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider (order emails and, if subscribed, letters), Anthropic (the AI writing system that helps compose your reading from your chart data), and our hosting providers. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data if required by law.
Some providers process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Order records and delivered readings are kept so your private order page keeps working and to meet accounting obligations. Chat details that never become an order are kept only as long as needed to operate the funnel and its reminder, then removed in routine cleanup. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. UK and EU residents may also complain to their supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data). To exercise any right, email margo@stillmeanttobe.com.
The site uses only the minimal storage needed for it to function. We do not run third party advertising or tracking cookies on this site. If that ever changes, this policy and a consent banner will say so first.
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
